A Heartfelt Update from Our Bookshop
Dear friends,
We began our journey on Shopee back in August 2021. Since then, it has been such a joy and blessing to serve families like yours. I’m truly grateful for your continued support and kindness over the years—it has meant more to me than words can express.
After much thought and prayer, I’ve decided to take a new step that will make things simpler for our little shop and hopefully better for you, too. While Shopee has helped us reach many of you, it also comes with challenges that have become harder to manage.
For example, Shopee requires all orders placed before 2 PM to be shipped the same day—something that can be difficult to keep up with, especially as a small home-based shop. Although we tried to use the pre-order option to give more time, Shopee only allows 100 items to be listed that way. We currently carry over 200 titles—from Kinder all the way to Grade 10—so it’s simply not enough.
Another reason we are making this change is because of the high platform fees. Shopee currently takes 15% of each sale. In moving to our own website, we can now offer you the same well-loved books at better prices, since we no longer have to factor in those platform charges.
And those “free shipping” vouchers? They’re not really free—they’re paid for by sellers like us. But don’t worry, we’re still offering a shipping subsidy on our own site, with a minimum purchase clearly stated so you can still enjoy some savings.
Most of all, I want this change to make shopping simpler and more pleasant for you. With our own online shop, you’ll find everything in one place, neatly organized and easy to browse. No limits, no rush—just a peaceful way to choose the best books for your family.
That said, our Shopee shop will still remain open for now—but only for a few select items: secondhand books, books without plastic covers, and those with minor factory flaws (clearly noted in the listings).
